Markum Inn Restaurant

Located in Marquam, Oregon, near The Oregon Garden and Silver Falls State Park, the Markum Inn Restaurant is a steakhouse known for its large portion sizes and reasonable prices. Providing a diverse selection of steaks, burgers, seafood, pastas, and chicken, the Markum Inn offers something for everyone in the family. The Markum Inn is located only a short drive from Salem and Portland and features full catering and barbecue services for receptions, company parties, weddings, and any other event involving groups of 25 to more than 1,600 people. It has been in operation at its current location since the turn of the last century. In 1970, the restaurant was rebuilt and has been going strong ever since. The headliner on the menu at the Markum Inn Restaurant is its broad selection of steaks. The restaurant offers steaks ranging in size from 6 to 14 ounces, in cuts and styles including ribeye, ground sirloin, petite filet, top sirloin, New York steak, and Salisbury steak. On Sundays, the Markum Inn offers prime rib roast cuts in 10-oz and 14-oz sizes. The Inn also serves a variety of fresh fish and other seafood, including cod, grilled salmon and halibut, deep-fried scallops and shrimp, and more. Another notable item on the restaurant’s menu is the Markum Double Jumbo Burger and Fries, billed as “the burger that made Markum famous.” The restaurant also maintains a children’s menu for kids under 12. The Markum Inn offers chicken, grilled cheese, fish sticks, and other items from the menu in appropriate smaller portions, along with a side of French fries. On their birthdays, children eat free. The Markum Inn Restaurant is a member of the Molalla Area Chamber of Commerce, the Mt. Angel Chamber of Commerce, the National Federation of Independent Business, the Aurora Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Oregon Restaurant Association, and the National Restaurant Association. The owners of the restaurant also support a number of charities and nonprofits, including the Brain Injury Association of Oregon, the Oregon National Guard Emergency Relief Fund, the Brooks Historical Society, Silverton Christian School, and the Oregon City Women’s Club.
